Update: The paragraph below represents what I originally thought this blog would be. Since that time I’ve undergone a great deal of soul-searching and my interests, and available time, have changed. I’m not sure where the line is to be drawn between “traditionalist” and “orthosphere”, but nowadays I’m certainly the former and allied with the latter.
Reagan is supposed to have wryly quipped that “my blood pressure is finally down enough for me to read the newspapers again”. The joke, of course, is premised upon the fact that paradoxically, anything we really care about we probably shouldn’t read too much about or our heads will explode. That is why, although we will occasionally deal here with my politics (conservative/traditionalist/eclectic) and religion (evangelical Christian), mostly we’ll just talk about aspects of culture, sociology and Western heritage that interest me.
